Their home world, Star-Pix , is a planet that exists beside the moon. When Canavin was a youngling, he looked up to his father, (the King of Star-Pix). The Prince was next in line to fulfill the dreams of the royal palace. At the age of 18, Canavin stood in the front lines in a battle against invading humans. They were led by a man named Richard Rageous, who is mentioned a few times in Master Defenders. During the raid, Richard steals premeval stones called Pixaliemain: space rocks that hold a dark spirit named Xaliemer. Another Pixalian, Identymous, sends out a scoundrel to murder Canavin's father. The humans retreat back to Earth and Canavin among many other Pixalians follow them and attack the planet. It's not until his second month on earthly grounds that Canavin realizes his faults. He sees that not all humans are wretched, and the same goes for his people.
