Lynx first appeared in the Master Defenders Novel #1-3 (2012), from MB Realms Production. Created by writer Matt Bhanks, the lightning lynx or just Lynx for short is a smart aleck, former Olympic runner who got his powers during the Dumineo event .  

Originally created in 2003, he was re-invented in the 2012 novel with a new origin and new design. 

Lynx is an original member of the Master Defenders, the team headed up by the A.I.A. (Alien Investigation Agency ) Eastern division.  Officially classified as agent 114; Lynx is the one member of the team who cannot be in one place for two long. Believed to be suffering from an Acute Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder prior to the Dumineo event. His DNA, now chemically changed on the molecular level is in all sense of the phrase out of the world.  Lynx’s energy body is constantly vibrating at a high velocity, even when he appears to be standing still. His suit which is made with an amalgamation of high density fibers and metals designed to focus his powers to his feet, giving him the ability to run at incredible speeds, as well as keeping his poly-electric form from escaping and being lost again.

Electrokinetic Speed: Lynx has the power of super human speed capable of shattering the sound barrier in .06 seconds at top speed. His super-speed also allows him to run up vertical surfaces like building and even sheer rock walls. What makes this ability special is that as he runs he gives off an electrical field that is invisible to the naked eye.  Those who have the misfortune of entering the field during lynx’s run will become unconscious and for long exposure can even die.  It also gives off a slight whistling sound. For Lynx this sound occurs at the moment of breaking the sound barrier and can be mistaken with the high pitch sound of a Lynx’s roar

Electrokinetic Combat:  Lynx’s fighting technique include a variety of karate and guerrilla tactics.  Though he chooses to fight as a last resort he can grapple an opponent and propel them thru the air with ease. Also with every strike that lynx distributes from his fist and especially his feet pack the force of a small bolt of lightning.

Shadow had previously transformed to do battle with Devil Doom, super form of Black Doom. Super Shadow was able to destroy Devil Doom, ending the Black Arms invasion of Sonic's world. (SU: #60)

Shadow first reached this transformation when he allied himself with Super Sonic to stop the Biolizard from destroying Mobius with the Space Colony ARK, and again when the Bem rescued him from the previously mentioned incident and provided him with enough power in order to combat the approaching Xorda. Super Shadow proved unprepared for the Xorda attack however and was sent plummeting towards Mobius. (StH: #124, SU: #2)

Shadow went on to achieve his super transformation once again. However this time he was forced into it in a device of A.D.A.M.'s creation. In Super Form his enhanced Chaos Control assisted in pulling all of the Chaos Emeralds in the universe towards Mobius to use their incredible powers. After being released from captivity by Dr. Eggman, Super Shadow used his Chaos Control to aid Turbo Tails and sent all of the Chaos Emeralds into the Zone of Silence, thus ending A.D.A.M.'s plans.
